Intermec CN2 / CN2B Soft - Hard Reset (Warm - Cold Boot)

CN2 / CN2B Soft Reset - Warm Boot

1. Press and hold the I/O key for 10 seconds, then the CN2B Computer continues
   from the screen you were at before you performed the Soft-reset.

CN2 / CN2B Hard Reset - Cold Boot

1. Pull the stylus from its place in the back of the device.
2. Using the stylus, press the Reset button in the stylus holder.

Intermec CN3 / CN3E / CN3F Soft - Hard - Factory Reset (Warm - Cold Boot)

CN3 / CN3E / CN3F Soft Reset - Warm Boot

1. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds or right-click on the CN3 via the SmartSystems Console.
2. Select Intermec > Power Tools > Warm Boot Device.
3. The computer systematically shuts down, restarts, and goes through the initialization Process.


CN3 / CN3E / CN3FHard Reset - Cold Boot

1. Press the Power button to suspend the CN3.
2. Remove the battery pack from the CN3.
3. Press the Reset button on the back of the CN3.





CN3 / CN3E / CN3F Factory Reset

Method 1: (Using miniSD card)
1. Press the Power button to suspend the CN3.
2. Remove the battery pack from the back of the CN3.
3. With a stylus, press the Reset button on the Battery cavity.
4. Insert the battery pack into the CN3 and immediately press
   and hold the Power button and both buttons on the left side.
5. Continue to hold the Power button and both buttons on the left side
   until a Warning message appears on the display.
6. Release the Power button and both buttons on the left side, read the message,
   and press either button on the right side to continue.
7. Wait for the CN3 to load files from the miniSD card.

Method 2: (Using SmartSystems console)
1. Right-click on the CN3.
2. Select Intermec Power Tools > Clean Boot Device.

Method 1:
1. Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds

1. Right-click on the CN4 via the SmartSystems console and select Intermec Power Tools > Warm Boot Device.

2. Remove the battery pack from the CN4.
3. Use the stylus to press the Reset button on the back of the CN4.

1. Tap Start > Shut Down. Or, scan this bar code:



   The computer systematically shuts down.
  
2. Press the Power button to restart the computer. If the computer is connected to
   an External power supply, it automatically restarts


CN50 Hard Reset - Cold Boot

1. If possible, tap Start > Shut Down.
2. Remove the battery pack from the CN50 and wait 30 seconds.
3. Reinsert the battery pack and press the Power Button.

CN50 Factory Reset

1. Remove the battery pack from the back of the CN50.
2. Reinsert the battery pack and press the Power button.
3. When the CN50 starts the boot process, simultaneously press < and >
   until the IPL Boot Configuration Menu appears on the screen.
4. Press 2 to select Force Clean Boot and then press 0 to select Continue with Boot.
   The CN50 executes the clean boot. This process takes a few minutes.
5. When prompted, tap screen to set up CN50.
6. Follow the instructions to calibrate the screen.

1. Press the Power button and select Reboot from the menu.


CN51 Hard Reset - Cold Boot

1. Press and hold the Power button for at least 8 seconds. The computer turns off.
2. Press the Power button again. The computer hard-resets.

CN51 Factory Reset

1. Press the Power button for about 2 seconds and then release it. The Intermec Power Options screen appears.
2. Select Reboot from the menu. The computer reboots.
3. Watch the startup screen. As soon as a white bar appears in the center of the screen, press and hold the Power button.
   If the message Launching OS appears in the white bar before you press and hold the Power button,
   the computer does not clean boot and you must start again with Step 1 after the computer finishes booting.
4. When the message Release IO Button appears, release the Power button.
   The Message Enter first key in 20 seconds appears
5. Press the Space key. The message Enter second key in 6 seconds appears.
6. Press the Enter key. The message Confirm first key in 6 seconds appears.
7. Press the Space key. The message Confirm second key in 6 seconds appears.
8. Press the Enter key. The message Cleanboot Confirmed appears, and the computer continues the clean boot process.

1. Remove the battery pack from the back of the computer.
2. With a stylus, press the Reset button in the battery cavity.
3. Insert the battery back into the computer, and immediately press and hold
   the Power button and Volume Down button (the lower button on the right side).
4. Continue to hold the Power button and the Volume Down button down until you are prompted to release them.
5. Press the Volume Up button on the right side to start the clean boot.
6. Wait for the computer to load files from its ROM.

Method 2: (Using SmartSystems console)
1. Right-click the 70 Series computer and select Intermec Power Tools > Clean Boot Device.

Method 1:
1. Press and hold Power for 5 seconds.

Method 2:
1. From the SmartSystems console, right-click the CK3 and select: Intermec Power Tools > Warm Boot Device.

1. Press and hold Power key for about 2 seconds to suspend the CK3.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Use the stylus to press the Reset button in the battery compartment of the CK3.
4. Replace the battery.




CK3 Factory Reset

Method 1: (Using mobile computer)
1. Press and hold Power button for about 2 seconds to suspend the CK3.
2. Remove the battery.
3. Use the stylus to press the Reset button in the battery compartment of the CK3.
4. Replace the battery.
5. Press and hold both Power button and the PTT button.
6. Continue to hold Power button and PTT until the “Clean boot the system?” prompt appears on screen.
7. Release the two buttons, read the message, and press the appropriate button
   to either proceed with the clean boot or cancel the clean boot.

Method 2: (Using SmartSystems console)
1. Right-click the CK3 and select Intermec Power Tools > Clean Boot Device.

4. Insert the battery pack into the computer and immediately press and hold the Power button.
5. Continue to hold the Power button until the “Release IO Button” prompt appears on the Screen.
    You will have to press two keys for the next part of this procedure.
    Our example uses key 6 and key 9, but you can press any two keys.
6. Release the button and the message “Enter first key in 20 seconds” appears on the screen.
   Press 9 on the keypad.
7. The message “Enter second key in 6 seconds” appears on the screen. Press 6 on the keypad.
8. The message “Reconfirm first key in 6 seconds” appears on the screen. Press 9 again.
9. The message “Reconfirm second key in 6 seconds” appears on the screen. Press 6 again.
10.The message “Cleanboot Confirmed” appears on the screen.
   The computer starts the process of clean booting.

2. With a bent paper clip or similar device, press the recessed reset switch on the CK32 keypad.
3. Press and hold the Power button until a Warning message appears on the display,
   release the Power button, then read the message.
4. Press and release the right side of the Scan button to perform a clean boot.
   Press and release the left side of the Scan button to cancel the clean boot.

1. Press and hold the Power switch on the front of the CK60 for about 10 seconds.

1. Press the Power switch to suspend the CK60.
2. Remove the battery pack from the back of the CK60.
3. With a stylus, press the Reset button in the battery cavity in the back.
4. Press and hold the Power switch as you put the battery back in the unit.




CK60 Factory Reset

1. Press the Power switch to suspend the CK60.
2. Remove the battery pack from the back of the CK60.
3. With a stylus, press the Reset button in the battery cavity in the back.
4. Press and hold the Power switch as you put the battery back in the unit.
5. Continue to hold the Power switch until a Warning message appears on the display,
   release the Power switch, then read the message.
6. To continue with the clean-boot, press the right side button.
   To cancel the clean-boot, press the left side button.

6. Release the Power button, read the message and press either button on the right side to continue.
7. Perform the screen alignment and wait for the CK61 to load files from the miniSD card.

3. Insert the battery back into the computer, and Immediately press and hold the Power button and Volume Down button (the lower button on the right side).
4. Continue to hold the Power button and the Volume Down button down until you are prompted to release them.
5. Press the Volume Up button on the right side to start the clean boot.
6. Wait for the computer to load files from its ROM.

Method 2: (Using SmartSystems console)
1. Right-click the CK70 computer and select Intermec Power Tools > Clean Boot Device.
